Steamboat is known for ranch weddings, mountain views and a laid-back Western feel. We bring a six-piece live band and our own sound engineer and make a ranch or barn reception feel like a full concert.
From ranches and barns in the Yampa Valley to resort ballrooms at the base of the mountain, we plan staging and power around your venue.
Many Steamboat weddings are outdoors or at ranches, so we plan power, staging and a weather backup with your venue well ahead of time.
One band can cover your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, and we learn first-dance and special songs on request.

Full production for rustic and outdoor venues.
We plan power, staging and a weather backup with your venue ahead of time.
A full show the night before the wedding, for guests who traveled in.
Load-in, timing and sound coordinated with the hotel event team.
A professional engineer on every booking, coordinated with your venue and planner.
Setlists built around your guests, from grandparents to the late-night crowd.
Live ceremony music by our solo guitarist or a duo, your choice, timed to your processional, ceremony and recessional. Then we roll right into cocktail hour and the reception, so the music never stops.
Add our jazz trio to your wedding day. Guitar, bass and drums play jazz, neo-soul and light music at a volume that keeps conversation easy. When the reception starts, the full band takes over, so the music never stops.
Stage announcements from the band are always included. For a true emcee, add Bad Juju, one of the lead vocalists in Little Moses Jones and a Denver stand-up comedian. He hosts your reception, from introducing the wedding party to bringing up every speech, and keeps the room laughing along the way. Then he joins the band on stage.

Little Moses Jones is a touring live experience — nearly two decades of live entertainment experience, performing across 20+ states and countries, including international stages.
We have performed for Google, Pearson Books Publishing, a Denver Broncos pregame, and galas for the Boys & Girls Club, the Denver Children’s Foundation, and Big Dawgs Huge Paws, plus Colorado festival stages including Parker Days, Burro Days in Fairplay, Juneteenth in Thornton, and Aurora’s 4th of July. You’re booking a full production, not a four-piece with a PA.
Steamboat Springs is about three hours from Denver over Rabbit Ears Pass. Out-of-town guests usually fly into Yampa Valley Regional Airport in Hayden (HDN), about 30 minutes from town.
Steamboat weddings range from the resort base area to working ranches out in the valley. Couples here book places like The Ranch at Steamboat, Flying Diamond Ranch and other ranch and barn venues across the Yampa Valley. Ranch sites often mean a long gravel drive, a tent and generator power, so we check access and power early.
Ranch and tent receptions run late and loud the right way. Ask your venue about any music cut-off time and noise rules for outdoor events so we can plan the last set around it.
